Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

• Forms (quote requests, waitlists, newsletter): the fields you see — name, e-mail, company, the options you select, and any text you type. Used only to answer your request or to notify you about what you signed up for. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for enquiries; your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for waitlists and the newsletter.
• Hosting logs: our host (Netlify) keeps standard technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• The "Ask the OS" demo collects nothing — it is a scripted preview that runs in your browser and sends no data anywhere.

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no third-party trackers. Fonts are self-hosted; no data is sent to font or CDN providers.

Who sees it, and for how long

• Form submissions are processed by Netlify, Inc. (our hosting provider, acting as processor) and read by the controller. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.
• Booking a call is optional and happens on Cal.com, Inc., a separate site — nothing from it loads on our pages, so no data goes there unless you click the booking link. If you book, the name, e-mail and any note you enter are processed by Cal.com as processor (US company; transfers covered by Art. 46 GDPR safeguards). Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• The confirmation email you receive after sending a form is delivered by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French provider acting as processor, on servers in the EU. It receives your email address and the text of your request for that single message; it is not used for marketing unless you subscribe separately.
• Netlify is a US company; transfers outside the EU are covered by the safeguards of Art. 46 GDPR (standard contractual clauses in Netlify's data processing agreement).
• Retention: enquiry data up to 24 months after our last exchange; waitlist and newsletter data until you ask to be removed; hosting logs per Netlify's standard rotation.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to a processing — and withdraw consent at any time. Use the data request page or write to contact@castel.studio; we answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
